GTA 6 PC Release Date: What Is and Is Not Announced

Every current primary source used by this site names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. None lists Windows, Steam, Epic Games Store, or the Rockstar Games Launcher as a GTA 6 launch platform.

That does not prove a PC version will never exist. It does prove that a PC date, store page, price, and hardware specification cannot currently be presented as official.

Why historical comparisons are not dates

Previous Rockstar releases have sometimes reached PC after consoles. That history is useful context for understanding why players expect a later version, but it is not a schedule. Development scope, optimization, security, storefront strategy, and business timing can differ from one game to another.

Ignore fabricated system requirements

Any precise CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, operating-system, or ray-tracing requirement published now is an estimate unless it links to a future Rockstar PC product page. Even educated estimates cannot account for final optimization targets or features that have not been announced.

Storage-size rumors are especially weak. Console preload data may eventually show a package size, but a PC build can differ because of texture packs, compression, language files, patches, and platform packaging.

Should a PC player buy a console?

That is a personal timing decision, not a search-result fact. A console purchase makes sense only if you want to play the confirmed version at launch and the wider console library justifies the hardware cost. Buying a console solely because of an invented PC-delay prediction is poor evidence-based advice.
