Direct answer
Rockstar has released two official cinematic trailers and extensive in-engine visual material, but it has not published a dedicated, narrated gameplay walkthrough showing continuous play, HUD, controls, or mission systems as of July 23, 2026.
Key facts

- Trailer 1 and Trailer 2

What we mean by gameplay
The word "gameplay" is used too loosely. A trailer can contain footage rendered by the game engine and still not answer how the game feels to control.
For this tracker, a dedicated gameplay presentation should show several of the following:
- Continuous player-controlled movement.
- HUD, map, wanted level, inventory, or mission prompts.
- Driving, combat, interaction, and camera behavior.
- Commentary or captions explaining systems.
- Clear platform and performance context.
The official trailers are valuable evidence about world density, animation, vehicles, crowds, lighting, story tone, and possible activities. They do not yet provide a complete systems demonstration.
Confirmed versus still unseen
| Area | Officially visible or described | Dedicated demonstration |
|---|---|---|
| Vice City and Leonida environments | Yes | Not yet |
| Jason and Lucia story | Yes | Not yet |
| Driving and vehicles | Visible in trailers | No continuous walkthrough |
| Combat and robberies | Suggested or briefly shown | No full mechanics breakdown |
| HUD and map interface | Not officially explained | No |
| Performance modes | Not detailed | No |
Why the distinction helps buyers
A cinematic trailer answers whether the setting, characters, and visual direction are appealing. A gameplay walkthrough answers different questions: how quickly characters move, how driving responds, how missions flow, what information the HUD presents, and what technical tradeoffs exist on each console.
Those answers matter more when comparing PS5 and Xbox or evaluating claims about 60 FPS and PS5 Pro. Until Rockstar demonstrates them, the correct label is unknown rather than assumed.
Evidence we will track
This page will update for official gameplay videos, hands-on previews, platform-verified technical information, or detailed Rockstar documentation. Short social clips will be identified by source and context rather than treated as a complete gameplay reveal.
We will not embed leaked development footage. Early work-in-progress material is not a reliable description of the shipping game and creates avoidable copyright and sourcing problems.
What to watch for next
The most useful future presentation would identify the capture platform, show uninterrupted control, and explain how systems connect across the wider Leonida map. A polished trailer can still be informative, but it should not be relabeled as a walkthrough simply because demand for "gameplay" is high.
